British Airways
Training Simulator
To cope with the increased demand for air travel and still maintain their exceptional standards and safety record. Our flag carrier, British Airways, has built a huge flight crew training facility.
Along with classroom based training the BA engineers have constructed a number of simulators. This is where the ‘would be’ crew can familiarise themselves with the cabin environment. Crew also learn where equipment is stored and practice emergency procedures.
The simulators must give the impression that they are a real aircraft. Therefore the areas not in direct use were made as scenery using specially printed sand textured laminated panels, with coarse printed and cut graphics for all the decals. You would be surprised how many decals there are in an aircraft cabin.
Following the closure of the British Airways sign shop last year, Display Signs has stepped up to fill the void.
