Display Signs Welcomes Boris Johnson

On Tuesday 15th February 2022 the team at Display Signs welcomed Uxbridge and South Ruislip MP and British Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, to our state-of-the-art factory in Uxbridge. After our signs caught Mr Johnson’s eye during a visit to Brunel University, he decided that he must see how and where they are made.

The team at Display Signs put on demonstrations exhibiting both modern and traditional sign making techniques. Our very own Wayne showcased his 40 years talent by sign writing onto varnished plywood which captivated Mr Johnson. Senior Sign Maker, Danny, guided Mr Johnson through the application of large format digitally printed graphics onto an aluminium composite using a cold roller to make a finished sign.

Mr Johnson was interested in the materials and machinery used in the sign manufacturing process and asked many insightful questions which we were happy to answer.

Of course, we didn’t let Mr Johnson leave empty handed. We packed him off with a couple of custom made digitally printed acrylic door signs for his children.

We’d like to thank Mr Johnson and his team and we look forward to welcoming them back soon.
