Display signs have recently completed one of their largest projects in recent months the signing of the DHL cargo sheds at Heathrow airport. The signs manufactured from composite sheet are fitted to the cladding at the side of the Cargo sheds facing the taxiing aircraft and along the length of the canopies facing Shoreham Road.
In total over 70 large sheets of composite sheeting were used. Composite sheeting was chosen over the more traditional flexface signs as Asbestos was present in the wall cladding and we were not permitted to drill the through to bolt up the heavy frames.
The composite signs were made in sections in the factory and assembled/installed over three nights when the Airport was closed to flights. The installation was undertaken by our contractors Complete Signage based in Essex. The signs along the front of the canopies were undertaken in conjunction with Welbro Project Management
