Display Signs are this month introducing, not one, but two new sign systems for the care industry.
Directory and way finding signs greatly simplify the matter of directing people around large premises, but can be difficult and expensive for the end-user to manage. Display Signs has the answer – Indicia.
Indicia delivers high standards of legibility and consistency across every element of a signing programme. Deployment, updates and repairs are easy to manage too. Rather than relying on heavily engineered sign systems comprising of many components, high cost and complexity, Indicia is centred on single plates of attractive, rigid materials, easily secured to walls, doors or other surfaces with simple stand-off mounting or self adhesive backing. They are as easy to fit as hanging a picture!
Plain text is used alongside legible pictograms to give clear, easy to read signs which are durable and attractive.
Our Indicia system comprises of a range of brushed silver or gold effect signs that give the modern care home the feel of a 5 star hotel.
- The bedroom door signs have user updateable name inserts.
- The small door signs are easy to install using double sided adhesive tape.

Our new Dementia sign range has been designed to accommodate the affects of dementia including disorientation, confusion and wandering. Creating a supportive, person centred environment can promote independence and significantly improve the quality of life for people with dementia, especially in the early stages.
At Display Signs we believe that our way finding and door signs can help stop the confusion as they are clear and easy to see. Our Dementia signs have a bright yellow background with plain black text which creates the best visible contrast for the human eye. Instead of cartoons we use real images of objects associated with a room or activity. This helps to evoke memories and reduces confusion.
All our Dementia signs are made of durable, easy to wipe clean materials making them more hygienic and long-lasting then paper or cardboard. All signs have a matt, anti glare finish which makes them readable in all lighting conditions.
